Keep Richmond Heights looking good
Two easy things you can do to keep our neighborhood looking good:
1. Volunteer for graffiti clean-up. Call 231-3031 or contact Owen Martin at owenlmartinjr@comcast.net.
2. Report vacant homes to our community police officer Tim Guard. He will help Code enforcment keep track of the vacant homes that might be fire hazards, places for homeless encampments, or for other problems in our community.

State Assemblymember Nancy Skinner website
If you have questions or need help related to state of California legislation and policy, our Assemblymember's website is a good place to start. For more contact information for our Assemblymember, and for contact information for our state senator, Loni Hancock, please see our Public Services page.

Richmond Heights Neighborhood Listserv
One of our new neighbors has set-up a "listserv" for sharing news and building community awareness in Richmond Heights.

If you're not familiar with a listserv, think of it as an electronic bulletin board. Members can post messages, but anyone can read the messages by visiting the listserv's web page. This service is hosted by Yahoo, and, if you want to sign-up to post messages or receive them via e-mail, you'll need to get a Yahoo email address as your ID (though you don't need to use it for any other purpose).

After going to the listserv's web page, you'll see a button labeled "Join This Group". You may also click on the "New Messages" link to read others' postings. For a detailed explanation, download the May issue of Views.

Changes on Macdonald Avenue— and throughout Richmond
The Richmond Community Redevelopment Agency has been extremeley active in the past year. Many projects have moved from the drawing board to the streetscape, the Macdonald-80 Shopping Center being the nearest to us. But Civic Center redevelopment, the Transit Village Intermodal Station, and the North Richmond Street Improvement are all underway. Download RCRA newsletter.

Help adults learn to read
Last year's staffing cuts have deeply affected Richmond's literacy program for adults (LEAP). As a volunteeer tutor, teaching one hour a week for 3 months, you can help initiate a positive lifelong change in someone else's life. More.
