Richmond Heights Neighborhood
Listserv
One of our new neighbors has set-up a "listserv" for
sharing news and building community awareness in Richmond
Heights.
If you're not familiar with a listserv, think of it as an electronic bulletin board. Members can post messages, but anyone can read the messages by visiting the listserv's web page. This service is hosted by Yahoo, and, if you want to sign-up to post messages or receive them via e-mail, you'll need to get a Yahoo email address as your ID (though you don't need to use it for any other purpose).
After going to the listserv's web page, you'll see a button labeled "Join This Group". You may also click on the "New Messages" link to read others' postings. For a more detailed explanation, download the this issue of Views.
Help adults learn to read
Last year's staffing cuts have deeply affected Richmond's
literacy program for adults (LEAP). As a volunteeer tutor,
teaching one hour a week for 3 months, you can help initiate
a positive lifelong change in someone else's life. More.
