Keeping these pages fresh and relevant is not a huge task — but it's more than a single volunteer wants to manage. If you'd like to help and you have some experience editing copy and modifying existing web pages, you're a candidate.

Design review committee member
The Richmond Planning Department asks homeowners applying for building permits to talk to their neighborhood councils. The councils' role is to review the plan and confirm that it will not have an negative impact on the neighborhood. The neighborhood council makes recommendations to the Planning Department to permit a project as proposed, or to require changes.

The RHNC now has a three person committee to review plans, but we would like to increase the size of the committee in order to encourage more participation in this important function. Meetings are fairly infrequent.
